I clean houses for a living. Most of my clients have me do the basics in cleaning ie: Mopping, dusting, sweeping, bathrooms etc. but I have a client that has kids and I am responsible for cleaning their clothes thrown all over the floor, toys, and it takes up so much time that is supposed to be used for scouring and stuff. None of my other clients have me do this for their kids. Is this for a housekeeper or a maid? Is their a difference?

I believe a housekeeper comes from the olde English where the lady lived in the home and did all chores necessary to maintain the home. That is not your job.
You have been hired to clean, dust, and keep the home sanitary and livable. There are any number of things that an accomplished maid can do but childcare should not be one of them in my opinion. And if laundry is part of your contract then you should not be required to pick up clothes from all over the house–just what is in the laundry basket.
How important is this job to you? If you can’t get the employer to agree to some simple controls on her mess then you are better off looking for another home to maintain.
There is a big difference but the difference does not apply to this situation. Get another client and quit her. No use arguing with her.
As a housekeeper you are doing alright in some of your clients. But that one client of yours maybe does not understand the difference between a housekeeper and a maid. Try to ask him/her your true job description. But if its okay for you, you can add additional compensation of doing two jobs at the same time.
There is a very big difference. A housekeeper is normally responsible for the complete running of a household. Sometimes she will have one or more maids under her to carry out the all the domestic duties. A housekeeper will also look after the finances pertaining to the running of the household. A maid usually will only do the physical duties like cleaning, laundry etc. In a normal household a maid engaged on a full time basis would be responsible for picking up clothes and tiding the childs room if no nanny was employed. As you seem to be on a casual basis you can only do as much as time permits. If she wants clothes picked up then the amount of time spent cleaning might have to be reduced.
